Kei Sumiyoshi is a Senior Vice President at JLL Hotels & Hospitality in Tokyo with a focus on investment sales, M&A, and other related activities. Possessing 15 years of hospitality experience, Kei focuses on all local Japanese submarkets providing optimised asset value to clients.
Since joining the firm in 2018, Kei has played a key role on hotels transactions such as the Leopalace Portfolio, Best Western Okinawa Portfolio and APA Hotel Hatchobori. Kei has transacted USD 300 million through 6 hotel-related projects across Japan, building on an impressive track record of USD 2.4 billion prior to joining JLL.
Prior to joining JLL in January 2018, Kei led the M&A Advisory team of the Hotels & Real Estate sector of Sumitomo Mitsui Trust Bank, Limited, one of the largest trust banks in Japan. In this role, he acquired M&A advisory business experience for 9 years in the sectors of real estate, hotel and REITs and accumulated 7.5 years of experience in real estate brokerage. Over 15 years with the firm, Kei played a key role on various hotel acquisition transactions, totalling more than USD 2.1 billion through 28 projects and M&A transactions for real estate companies with value of USD 1.3 billion including hotels.

Kei holds a bachelor degree in Law from Chuo University. He is a licensed real estate transaction supervisor.
