Based in Shanghai, Ling Wei is responsible for leading major hotel transactions within the Greater China region. She also works closely with Chinese investors who are seeking hotel investment opportunities outside of China.
Experience & Education
Ling Wei joined JLL in 2014 based in the firm’s Asia Pacific headquarters in Singapore with a focus on hospitality transactions across Asia, including Singapore, Maldives, Malaysia and Cambodia. Being fully bilingual, Ling Wei relocated to Shanghai in 2016 and became one of the inaugural members of the China hotel investment sales team. Since joining, Ling Wei has engaged in close to US$1 billion in hotel transactions across Asia, the Middle East, and Indian Ocean. Amongst others, her success includes the sale of Cheval Blanc Randeli Maldives which set the record as the largest hotel transaction in the Indian Ocean and the all-time highest per key transaction for a single hotel asset globally.
Ling Wei was also previously involved in several asset management assignments for properties ranging from luxury to economy hotels in Singapore. She also assisted hotel developers in the selection of operators and subsequent negotiations of management agreements, including for Andaz Singapore and InterContinental Robertson Quay Singapore.
Prior to joining JLL, Ling Wei gathered her operational experience in the hospitality industry with stints at Four Seasons Hotel Hong Kong, Brewerkz Microbrewery and Treasury Wine Estates.
Ling Wei holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Hotel Administration from Cornell University in the USA and a Diploma with Merit in Hospitality and Tourism Management from Temasek Polytechnic in Singapore.
